MY BFF's a GD!!!

You may remember that my BFF Suzy won the July Scrapology challenge, the same month I was the Guest Designer.

Well, this month, Suzy is the Guest Designer at Scrapology after they sort of 'head-hunted' her!

And best of all, Madison is in her LO and what a fabulous LO it is too!!!

Well done Suzy :)

OOPS!

Looks like I've been AWOL again! So what's happened since my last visit to this dear blog...

Madison started walking & now has a very pretty pair of purple shoes, with 3 little hearts on the bottom! How clever of her to put her feet like this for my photo! Especially as she fell asleep like that! LOL

Madison now has 10 teeth however I don't think any of them apart from the bottom two at the front have come through in the order they should!
Kyle has just turned the grand old age of 9!!!I was very proud of him because his birthday was on Remembrance Sunday this year and as a cub scout, he took part in the Remembrance Parade in Crewe!

Every year, I take a photo of him holding up his fingers to show his age, only one more year of doing it though or the socks & shoes will have to come off! Above is a rare photo of him & below is a normal photo of him - well, you know what boys are like!
I've finally seen a Rheumatologist and as usual, consultants don't like giving a proper diagnosis so I was told it's 'Highly Likely' that I have ME/CFS as well as the Fibromyalgia :( So now I'm waiting for physio & occupational therapy appointments as well as a trip to the Chronic Fatigue Service.

And Andy is putting up with us all - bless him!!!

As far as crafting goes, I've been plodding on with a Crochet Bag, knitting scarves, scrapping in real life & digitally, making cards for birthdays where I can - oh no, I better get on with the dreaded C******** cards too lol - and I've signed up for an Art Journal Circle Journal on UKS, which starts in Jan 2012.

Speaking of UKS, I hosted my first solo challenge on there in October - here are my 2 example LOs - using a different size photo, halloween colours & a stamp thats never used!

I was interviewed by Lisa Griffin, a fairly new DT member in ScrapaGoGo Land - the interview was posted on Kyle's birthday - you can read it here if you want to know more about my scrapping history!

The Chinese Whispers CJ in GoGo Land has come to an end but never fear, I will still make use of my kits - I've signed up for 2 more!!! These are the 10 LOs I've created over the course of this first CJ. Chinese Whispers are the best type of CJ's - I love being able to use my stash for a LO that I get to keep! LOL

Thanks for stopping by :)

One Year Old!!!

WOW! Will someone please tell me where the last year has gone???

This last year has flown by - there have been ups & downs, ins & outs, but with the cutest, prettiest face to look at, its really been a good year!

Yes this little lady is now the grand old age of ONE!!! 12 MONTHS! Yikes!!! lol

Love you Madison, so so much...

Isn't she the cutest???!!!

This photo was from one of those free photo shoots where you go and the photographer gives you a free print in the hope that you will order something else. Well we did, but you'll have to wait until I've scanned the other photos first!!! lol

GoGo Chinese Whispers - 2 for the price of 1 !!!

Regular readers may remember I'm part of a Chinese Whispers Circle Journal over in ScrapaGoGo land... I completely forgot to blog my LO at the beginning of April so now you have 2 to look at...

Just the 2 of Us - using March's kit, is of Andy & I on my favourite bridge, Luzerne, Switzerland in July 2007 - we were smirking slightly as I was balancing the camera & trying to take the photo AND not drop it in the water!!!

and

Catching Butterflies - using February's kit - Madison in mid-snoore/snooze!!!

Thankful Thought No. 3

At the moment, I'm extremely thankful to Jessie J for putting 'baby music' at the beginning of her Price Tag track - whenever its on, Madison will whip her head round until she finds the source of the music. Then if its the video, she will watch it contently to the end. We have it on our phones & we sing it too - each time it will calm her down!

WOYWW 97 & LIttle Musings Stamps

I remembered to take a photo of my workdesk on Wednesday and this is the first time I've had chance to upload it!

So for WOYWW 97, I got to kill 2 birds with one stone, & show you my finished LO - My Angel - the photo was taken just a few days after Madison was born. We have a fair few photos of her on the settee this day as she started smiling in her sleep - and NO, it wasn't wind! It was definitely a smile!
After completing this LO, I realized that it fit the challenge over on UKS this week - a celebration (Madison smiling), using pink or blue (used both in this) and for the third 10 points, I claimed my points by using my new stamps from SJ's Little Musings. They are sooooooo beautiful I just had to buy them all!

As soon as I saw these angel stamps, I knew I wanted to put them on a LO with a photo of my very own little angel! It's unusual for me to stamp like this on a LO but they were just perfect!

I've only used 3 on this LO but don't worry, the others will be used - rest assured!!!

Thankful Thought No. 2

I'm thankful for Kyle doing well at school - there is still some work to be done on his literacy & lots of concentration needed but he is trying and for that, I am proud of him!

Thankful Thought

Ali Edwards has started a series called Thankful Thoughts & is sharing her overlays for us to use on our own photos so I thought I'd give it a go... I'm so thankful for having 2 healthy children, despite them both having a healthy pair of lungs!!!

Dear Blog...

I'm so sorry! It appears I haven't updated you in a while, since last year in fact!!! :(

The rest of the year flew by! Christmas came and went - far too quickly!
Little Miss Christmas!

January has been a busy month so far, starting with me taking my mum to see Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Pt1 on Jan 1st - I'm determined to watch all the HP films at the cinema so Daddy had the little lady for the afternoon & they both survived! I'm starting the year as I mean to carry on!!!

Once Kyle was back in school, Madison & I took Nanni & Grandpa shopping and of course to Starbucks!
Where's Mine?

Jan 7th - someone decided to try to roll but since finding her toes on Jan 13th, she'd rather chew those instead!!!
Hmmmmm, Tasty Toes!

Kyle finally joined Cubs after 2 years on the waiting list for Beavers - he loved it & was desperate to get his uniform! In a few weeks, Little Man - be patient!!! LOL

We all went out for a Chinese Buffet with my mum & dad to celebrate mum's 80th birthday on Jan 19th - HAPPY 80TH MUM!!! - anyway, the food was fabulous, Kyle couldn't wait to get to the chocolate fountain! One finished plate, still with dropped chocolate led Grandpa to say he was surprized Kyle hadn't licked it clean - uh-oh!!!
Look what he did!!!

I gave myself whiplash!!! Don't ask!!! Oh, okay, if you insist!!! :snigger: I trapped my foot under front door whilst closing it and twisted & jarred the rest of me! My foot is absolutely fine but have spent the rest of the week feeling a little on the woozy side, with back & neck pain after seeing the doctor who can't give me anything stronger to take than the painkillers I'm already taking! That'll teach me to allow more time for going places and concentrating on what I'm doing!!!

And now today is Andy's 31st birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDY! - it looks like January has pretty much come and gone as well!

So, blog... have you caught up yet? I'll be back soon to tell you about my crafting challenges this year!

Times flies...

Wow - time really does fly by, doesn't it???

All of a sudden, Madison is 7 weeks old and Kyle has just turned 8 - 8!!!!! Where did the time go??? Now as I hold Madison in my arms, I remember how small Kyle once was and then I find myself wondering where the last 8 years have gone!!! I must have blinked for far too long!!! LOL

A quick catch up...

Halloween came and went - Madison had her own little outfit - come on, who on earth could resist this cute little number!!! Thanks to Fiona (aka Angelfish on UKS) for the heads up on this outfit!!!
As you can see, even Madison was full of glee with this outfit!

Then there was my fabulous friends' daughter who regularly comes to walk my pooch, who was looking for an excuse to dress up on Halloween, so she took Kyle out for 'Trick or Treat'...
For Kyle's eighth birthday, we went Ten-Pin Bowling and then Pizza Hut with his best friend Leo and our family...
And a LO, just the one!!! This took me a couple of weeks really, by snatching 5 or 10 mins here & there...

Introducing Madison...(used the most gorgeous Pixielicious range from Cosmo Cricket, which was part of the ScrapaGoGo kit for October!)

Madison has been having loads & I mean LOADS of cuddles from lots of friends and family - I can't show them all here as you'd never get the page to refresh properly!!! So instead, just a few smiles from Little Miss Indecisive (my team on UKS is 'The Indecisives') and/or the Ribbonette (on UKS, I'm part of the fabulous and best house - Red Ribbon House)...

Til next time...
